pEARL jAM __2x ten + one

Sorry about the algebra in the thread title, I know I promised early on there would be no math--I just couldn't contain myself. I just want y'all to learn new things, hehe.

If you're lost/ten is the name of Pearl Jam's award winning debut album, back in 1991. It's been twenty one years and they are still blazing every stage from Texas to Tokyo and Singapore back to Seattle [where it all began as a dream/nay an experiment in 1990]. They wanted to prove that a group of young men could make art and keep the corporate hands out of their till at the same time.

The experiment was an amazing success but that's not to say there weren't any deaths and plenty of taxes and tolls to pay on that long twisted road they chose instead of just following Easy Street like everyone else.

Let's look at a couple brilliant classics by one of the original four horsemen of the grunge apocalypse phenomenon [the others being Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden].

These bands were responsible for a buzz in music that arguably changed the coarse of the world (in whatever small but significant way). They may have fallen on black days, and sadly some died young but they all wreaked of teen spirit and though nothing will never be the same in rock and roll, after these many years, Pearl Jam is still very much alive...

Since its inception, Pearl Jam's line-up has included Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), and Mike McCready (lead guitar). The band's current drummer is Matt Cameron [also of Soundgarden] who has been with the band since 1998.
